Sabbath day is Saturday in Israel. If you are in Jerusalem all transport stops before sunset on Friday and only resumes after nightfall on Saturday night. All shops are closed but there are still many options to enjoy the spirituality of the day. In Jerusalem, you can enjoy a quiet day of rest with a range of short guided walks around the holy streets.
